Who is it You Need to be Seen By – and Why?

The other day I clicked on a video of a young lady who does historical costuming, whose videos I normally like. Now, I don’t care about her politics and I’m not offended by her expressing her views – it’s her channel, after all. But the five minute diatribe on white privilege got old two minutes in. But besides the gigantic leaps in logic and the massive rewrite of history – that last bit being odd because she’s really pretty good … Continue reading “Who is it You Need to be Seen By – and Why?”

What the World Needs Now is a Democrat Party Collapse

Doesn’t sound very nice – it’s worse when you put it to the music of the Jackie DeShannon hit. It hurts to hear the truth sometimes – but accepting the truth is the first step to recovery and you can’t accept what you haven’t ever heard. Political corruption, lying media and international incidents are what set off the Mexican American War (1846 – 1848). Barely makes the history text books these days but it was big news back then – … Continue reading “What the World Needs Now is a Democrat Party Collapse”

Freedom Isn’t Free

You usually hear that phrase in connection with honoring our troops – and rightly so. But the blood of our fallen is not the whole price of freedom. Part of that price is eternal vigilance – and not just from those who guard our shores. We the People must also remain ever vigilant. We are charged with the task of governing ourselves as a nation. Part of that self governance is keeping a sharp eye on those we entrust with … Continue reading “Freedom Isn’t Free”

Kamala’s Comeback?

Okay, technically, you have to arrive before you can come back – but you know what I mean. She’s doing the PR tour with ‘stellar’ results – if we define ‘stellar’ as ‘going nova’. It’s hard to tell if she’s trying to get her poll numbers up so she can get rid of Biden or if she’s trying to keep her numbers so low that no one will want to have her instead. I presume the former. I’m not a … Continue reading “Kamala’s Comeback?”

Democrats: Leadership Versus Base

A recent poll found that 32% of Democrats thought that the 2020 was not won fairly. I’m not presently a fan of polls but this is not the result I’d expect given my concerns. I’d expect a much lower number as weighting should drive it down – so this could be an underestimate of how many Democrats think their party cheated. It could also be a statistical anomaly so we shouldn’t draw the conclusion that there are definitely large numbers … Continue reading “Democrats: Leadership Versus Base”

Happy People Will Lie About You Once You’re Unpopular Day!

We used to just call it ‘Columbus Day’ but then the media and the left decided that narrative was more important than truth. But we also used to define vaccines by their ability to provide immunity – literally, if they can’t do that, they are just a form of treatment, not a vaccine. But the CDC wants everyone to be vaccinated regardless of how insane it is so it quietly changed the definition on its website – and several dictionaries … Continue reading “Happy People Will Lie About You Once You’re Unpopular Day!”

America, We Have to Talk

Yes, I know you’re all busy with this political divide stuff and the crazy unconstitutional stuff. All of that is important and we do have to deal with the ideological issues that are threatening to divide us. But have a seat for a moment – there’s something you need to know. The rest of the world sees us as John Wayne, swaggering in to save the day. And who wouldn’t want to be John Wayne? We’re Americans – our blood … Continue reading “America, We Have to Talk”

Who Controls What the Kids Can Think

Let’s get real – a nation is one generation away from oblivion. All human congregations are, regardless if they are small families or gigantic nation-states. Because once all the members die, it’s over. With 327 million Americans largely intent on continuing the human race it’s not at all likely that everyone will cease having children within the year – or the next twenty – but nation-states face more than an existential threat of not having any children. Nation-states only continue … Continue reading “Who Controls What the Kids Can Think”

The Virus Didn’t Wreck the World – Politicians Did

I REALLY hate the phrase ‘post-COVID’. I get that it’s meant to be almost hopeful – but to me it misses the point. All the really nasty effects like higher levels of suicide and death from other causes as well as loss of freedom (yes, being confined to your home is really confinement), autonomy (mandates by definition strip the individual of choice) and trust (I’ll spare you the litany of broken promises and lies coming directly from our government) – … Continue reading “The Virus Didn’t Wreck the World – Politicians Did”

The Slow Collapse of an Administration

The strength of the American system of government is that it is slooooooooow. Really, really, mind numbingly sloooooow. The annoying part of the American system of government is that it couldn’t win a race with a dead snail. Fast moving government is like a fiery horse – with major behavioral problems. It might be fun to watch some OTHER poor idiot ride that horse, but it is a misery to ride yourself. You can’t keep up – by the time … Continue reading “The Slow Collapse of an Administration”
