Indictment 3.0: How to Destroy DOJ Credibility in Three Easy Steps

In case you somehow missed it, the January 6 they are referring to occurred on January 6, 2021. Now, I’m no legal genius or even an attorney but seems to me that it doesn’t take THREE YEARS to simply bring an indictment. Unless, of course, you’re deliberately dragging out the process for political purposes. You know, like interfering in the electoral process by damaging the frontrunner’s reputation and keeping him constantly busy in court instead of on the campaign trail.

Nah, couldn’t be that.

Oops, sorry for dripping sarcasm on your shoes like that. Try Democrat shoes. I hear they are completely immune to sarcasm and common sense.

Oh yes, Pence made comments that prove his loyalty to the Republican establishment. Well, it’s not like he has a political future anyway, I suppose. At this rate, neither does the Republican party. Running Pence and Christie as spoiler wannabes is not making the Republican leadership any friends with voters. DeSantis seems determined to go down with the Republican ship – no idea why.

Ramaswami is positioning himself for Veep – and a good shot at a run for 2028. His support of Trump is playing well with the Republican base. I wouldn’t bet on the Veep slot this cycle but DeSantis has damaged himself so badly that a 2028 run is looking promising for Ramaswami.

In case you were wondering, the Republican nomination is Trump’s to lose. Even his legendary foot in mouth disease isn’t likely to sideline Trump’s primary run. My guess at this point is that Trump runs the table. I wouldn’t bet on DeSantis taking Florida right this minute. Sure, things can change but if two, now three, indictments don’t even dent your popularity I’m hard pressed to think what could.

Of course, Trump’s base believes the indictments are all politically motivated. That wouldn’t save Trump. The fact that most Democrats are coming to the same conclusion, that is what is really setting the Trump campaign on fire. Americans don’t like cheaters.

I’ll repeat myself here: the American people owe Mitch McConnell a debt of gratitude. No, not for being a complete jerk where Trump is concerned but for keeping Merrick Garland off the Supreme Court. He’s destroying the Department of Justice as Attorney General. I shudder to think what he could have done on the High Court itself.

Well, I shouldn’t say ‘destroying’. He seems to have completed the job. The DOJ has less credibility than either CNN or Congress. That’s saying something. If it weren’t for Republicans keeping up with the opposition, I don’t think CNN would have enough viewers to fill a parking lot, maybe not even with RV’s.

From what I can tell, only the diehard Democrat lawyers on YouTube seem to think the DOJ has a case. Most lawyers I’ve heard seem to be of the opinion that the DOJ is trying to outlaw opposition speech. That the case was assigned to an Obama appointee who made her reputation on the Jan 6 cases indicates that the DOJ wasn’t so sure it had a good enough case for even a Never Trumper judge. Politically, a Republican judge would be better optics – but they went with hardcore Dem.

Nah, no one will think that’s a political prosecution.

See? The Democrat shoes don’t even notice the sarcasm. Sorry about your socks, though.

Seriously, who did they hire to write this thing? Whoopie Goldberg? I guess not – the filing is at least kinda coherent. Stupid and obviously politically motivated but semi-coherent. Whoopie hasn’t been coherent in a decade.

I’m a legal geek. I read decisions for the fun of it. I usually enjoy digging into the meat of a case like this. But it’s so bad and so idiotic that it takes all the fun out of the legal stuff. Dumbest indictment ever.

There are a lot of ticked off commentators and rightfully so. This is the sort of anti-Constitutional, unamerican and flat out corrupt thing that should never happen in America. Myself, I can’t get angry because it’s just so moronic.

So I’ll get busy instead. I may not post next week but that will be only a short hiatus to revamp quillsword.net and to upgrade Quill Shop. I’ll be putting out a bunch of new T shirt designs – watch your step, sarcastic when patriotic. I’ll also be offering free memes. Sarcastic and terrible graphics – kind of a thing for me.

The point being that destroying the DOJ is quite enough. No one, Ivy League elitist or rabid racist, gets to destroy the United States of America or corrupt her institutions. No one.

Trump isn’t the best thing since sliced bread, but he’s the man willing to do the job. Whether or not he gets elected, the Democrats as a party have got to go.

They can take the Republican Party with them for all I care.

Spread the word!
