Biden Pardons Hunter: No One is Surprised

There was never any real chance that Joe Biden wasn’t going to pardon his son, nor any indication that the Justice Department wasn’t fully complicit in the judicial fraud. Let’s spend a few hundred grand or a million or more for all the proceedings just to time the trial so that Hunter Biden would have ample opportunity to plead guilty long before his father would leave the White House.

Anyone believing this wasn’t contrived needs to go to my nonexistent real estate site and put a down payment on a lovely little piece of ocean front property – in Tennessee.

The timing is mildly interesting. Trump’s pick for FBI director, Kash Patel got bumped off the front page by the news of the pardon. That takes some heat off what would otherwise be a unwelcome pick for the opposition. I’m not convinced it’s terribly important. The old guard Republicans in the Senate already got their sacrificial lamb with Gaetz’s withdrawal. They aren’t likely to put up much of a fight on any other nominee. Trump has a mandate and now is a bad time to pick that kind of fight with him.

But it is something of a tiny gift to Trump from Biden. I doubt Biden intended the timing as a gift so much as a <insert bad word here> to the Democrat Party. Biden is gone in 47 days. He couldn’t care less if people think he lied to them. But the Democrat Party will be answering for quite a while to come for why they backed Biden, knowing his reputation for corruption.

They are answering to their own rank and file, most of whom as fed up with the party. As predictable as the pardon was to observers across the aisle, it came as a shock to the few stalwarts still supporting the Democrat Party and believing the nonsense coming out of the Lamestream Media. It’s sad, really, when the True BelieversTM find out the hard way that their heroes are villains.

Try not to gloat. Next time may be your turn.

Biden bravely announced the pardon on his way to Angola. My guess is he didn’t want to be in Washington when the Congressional Dems found out. Can’t say as I blame him – they are mad as the proverbial wet hens. Oh, not because Biden pardoned his son – they all knew that was coming. No, they were hoping it would be Biden’s last official act in office, both the mute the reaction and to cast a wet blanket on Trump’s inauguration.

You get the feeling Biden isn’t exactly on the Democrat Party’s side anymore? Yeah, me too.

Well, Biden is trying to look all presidential while the fireworks go off in Washington. It’s not working. We can toss the kind of bones Biden is likely to offer Angola from home. Besides, China containment is more Trump’s thing than Biden’s. Even if it weren’t, most of you don’t have a clue why Biden is going to Angola, do you? Don’t feel bad, you have to be really into foreign policy to figure that one out on your own. It’s just a soft power fight over an African client state.

The US having a soft power fight with China is like Muhammed Ali having a sparring match with Emanuel Lewis. Too old a reference for you? Fine, think Iron Man versus an aluminum can. Whippersnappers.

Point being, sure, we have to take China seriously, but so far they mostly PO the very client states they are trying to woo. Even Pakistan is getting a bit irritable with the Chinese and their Belt and Road nonsense. There’s no foreign policy urgency requiring Biden in Angola.

Avoiding Nancy Pelosi back home might be more urgent, however. She is not likely to be a happy camper about now.

What did she expect? Biden has as many years in Congress as she does. Did she really think he wouldn’t play dirty after being forced out? Biden wrote the playbook!

So, Biden pardoned his son, covering his son’s backside and almost certainly his own. I’m having a hard time understanding how anyone could have been surprised by this. Yet, the outrage from the Dems seems a bit more genuine than usual. I think Biden might have hit a nerve.

The Democrats are lucky he can only hit that nerve once.

Unless he decides to pardon Snowden and Assange for Christmas. That might be just the lump of coal Santa was looking for to fill the Democrat stocking this year. No, I don’t think Biden will do it. Well, probably not.

Then again, he’s got 47 more days to figure out even more deviltry to bedevil his own party with and no reason in the world not to. Reminds me of something…

How the Biden Stole Democrat Christmas

With apologies to the Grinch. At least the Grinch became a good guy in the end. There’s not going to be a happy ending for the Democrats this year.

I think I’ll watch Santa Trump is Coming to Town instead.

Spread the word!
